Tasharla

CEO and Founder, Jeanie Home Health Care LLC

Tasharla is the CEO and Founder of Jeanie Home Health Care, LLC. Over the past five years, she has worked in accounting and finance, specializing in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and acquisition transactions. Tasharla’s expertise in finance has been instrumental in the successful management and growth of the company.

Tasharla has a strong background in the operations of hospitality and revenue cycle management (financial review). She has worked alongside her sister, assisting with the care of their ill mother, dedicating years on and off to various agencies. After her mother’s passing, Tasharla decided to open her own home health agency, driven by her passion to make a difference in the lives of seniors and disabled individuals. She aims to provide support for families involved in caregiving.

Tasharla’s career journey includes experience in housing development and care for the elderly. She was previously responsible for assisting with administrative tasks in support of multiple ongoing projects at the Newport News Redevelopment and Housing Authority, where she handled eligibility interviews and annual recertifications for housing assistance programs. She also processed eligibility and income documents for participants in the housing program.

Her commitment to helping others extends beyond her professional work; she has volunteered at Newport News public schools and local food banks. Outside of her busy schedule, Tasharla enjoys traveling, reading, writing songs, running, and spending time with her family and friends. Originating from Queens, New York, she moved to Virginia in 2009, where she raised her three children—one daughter and two sons. Her most cherished role is being a mother to her beautiful children.

Meet the Administrative Staff

Ivy

Co-operator / Administrative Assistant

Ivy is a wife and mother of four. She has over 25 years of experience in home care and caregiver services. Ivy has dedicated most of her life to providing compassionate care and is passionate about ensuring that individuals receive the support and attention they need in the comfort of their homes.

Originating in New York City in 2005, Ivy started her career at the age of 21 with Allen Home Health Care Services based out of Jamaica, Queens. She continued to work for the company, building herself and her family as she moved to Pennsylvania. While her second job was at Sears department store in Selinsgrove, Ivy knew she wanted more than traditional customer service. She was eager to serve her community in a more meaningful way, providing personal care and working with a different skill set, similar to the work she had done with Allen Home Health Care. Ivy then obtained a position at Loving Care Personal Care Home, where she worked day and evening shifts, assisting over 20 individuals in a personal care home setting. She provided meals, medication management, personal care, and other activities of daily living.

After relocating to Virginia, Ivy continued to give care in-home, looking after her own mother alongside her sister, and then caring for her grandfather. Ivy knew that working in the home care field was her calling, so she continued working for several agencies in the Tidewater area. In 2024, Ivy joined forces with her sister to open a home care agency of their own.
